Weddington Way New Years Eve style challenge.

I’m a total romantic at heart and I can’t resist the glamour and excitement of a wedding.  So I was elated when Weddington Way asked me to take part in their New Years Eve style challenge.

Weddington Way is your one-stop shop for bridal party fashion.  They have a huge range of bridesmaid dresses and accessories that you can view at just the click of a button.

For the New Year’s Eve style challenge, I was asked to select a bridesmaid dress from the Weddington Way range and create a look for a New Years Eve wedding.  I jumped at the chance to take part.  Not only do I adore putting together outfits, but I just love the idea of a New Year’s Eve wedding.  New Year’s Eve is a night filled with promise and excitement, and what better way to leap into the new year than by pledging your love to that special someone?

I chose to style the Weddington Way Ella dress in navy.  I selected this dress because I liked the gorgeous texture of the lace and the longer sleeves.  I felt that this dress had a very elegant, streamlined look that would be perfect for a sophisticated New Year’s wedding.  The navy shade reminded me of the night sky, and I thought it would make the ideal backdrop for some dazzling accessories.

New Year’s Eve is the perfect time for a bit of glitter and glamour, so I added some dazzling accessories to this classic dress.  A bridesmaid would put her best foot forward in these gold stilettos.  A glittering clutch is perfect for carrying all those wedding-day essentials to help keep the bride looking radiant.  Such a strong look needs only a touch of jewelry, and a vintage sapphire ring would be just the ticket.
I would keep hair and makeup soft and romantic.  Flowing, voluminous curls would be topped off with a festive fascinator.  I would shade the bridesmaid’s eyes with a sultry wash of smokey shadow and accentuate them with a set of lush lashes.  Lips and nails should be simple and feminine, a soft pink gloss is all that’s needed to finish off the look.
And that’s my New Year’s Eve Wedding look.  It’s sophisticated and romantic with a touch of party glamour.  Perfect to ring in the new year with a bang!

  1. That ring!!! Goodness me, what a stunner! It has such a gorgeous heirloom feel to it. Beautiful selection of New Year’s Eve fashions, sweet gal. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I’ll finally have a NYE where I’m feeling well enough to celebrate with friends and family. It’s been so many years since that last happened that I genuinely can’t even recall a precise year. Wish me luck! 🙂

Have a fantastic end of 2014 and awesome New Year’s celebration!
    ♥ Jessica

    • I truly do hope that you get to have a proper celebration. I’m having a very low-key one here, but I’ll be sure to raise a glass to your health. Look after yourself sweetheart. 🙂
