Lunette Cup giveaway

It’s no secret that I’m totally smitten with my menstrual cup.  I bought a Lunette Cup a few months ago and I’ve never looked back.  This handy contraption is discreet, hygienic and comfortable to wear.  It has changed the way I feel about my period and I’m keen to share this product with every woman I meet.

A little while ago, I wrote a review of the Lunette Cup and it really resonated with you guys.  I got so many comments and emails from readers who had never heard of a menstrual cup, but were keen to give it a go.

Well, it’s your lucky day, because the folks at Lunette have agreed to give away a free cup to one lucky reader.  One reader will receive a cup in their choice of colour.  How awesome is that?

Here are a few important facts about the Lunette Cup:

– The cup is made from medical grade silicone

– The cup is worn internally like a tampon.  Unlike a tampon, the cup collects your menstrual fluid instead of absorbing it.

– The cup is completely re-usable and one cup should last several years with proper care.

– As the Lunette doesn’t absorb your menstrual fluid, there is only a very low risk of TSS. This makes it a much safer option than pads or tampons.

– The Lunette is suitable for women of all ages.

– The cup is easy to clean and small enough to stash in your handbag.

Lunette are committed to making periods a little bit nicer.  So to enter this competition, all you have to do is leave a comment here telling me:

“What do you do to make your period nicer?”

Also, please make sure that you leave an email address with your comment. I need to be able to get in touch with you if you win.

The winner will be drawn on Monday the 17th of November.  I will notify the winner via email.

Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions about the Lunette Cup or my experience with this product.  I would be happy to answer your questions.

Good luck and best wishes!

  1. I’ve been using a menstrual cup for years now, and it really helped. It even reduced my cramps. (You mileage may vary.) If you’re considering getting one, I can’t say enough about how great they are! 😀 You may want to look at a menstrual cup chart to see which one will suit your body best. I had a Lunette and though I loved it, it wasn’t the right size for me.

    • It is definitely worth taking a look at some of the comparison charts to make sure that you get a cup that suits your body. There are so many things to consider, from your age and whether you’ve had children to how high your cervix sits and how strong your pelvic floor muscles are. I found an awesome video that is really helpful in deciding which cup is best for you.

  2. AHHHH!!! So disappointed that i missed the deadline for this! I’m searching the web for a Lunette giveaway b/c I NEED one!!! Well, in case you want to send some love my way …. 😉 rmmaul at excite dot com 😉

  3. I’ve been a wanting to try a menstrual cup for ages but keep putting it off for some reason… tampons keep coming up on special, I’m going away, not sure where to buy them from etc., so this is the perfect incentive. 🙂
To make my period a bit nicer, I dose up on some decent pain killers, then make a real effort in putting on a glam outfit, doing my hair and makeup nicely and striding in to work…(my period always seems to fall on a work day)
I guess it kinda reminds me it’s a womanly thing to be suffering through, but I can also look a bit glam and be a strong woman too, all while suffering.. haha! 🙂

  4. To make my periods more comfortable, I like drinking lemon balm tea and having a hot bath with essential oils. Going for a walk is nice too. I’m new to the world of re-usables and am excited for this journey to living more green and being healthier.

  5. Let’s see… I make my periods nicer by having painkillers! I get bad pain on the first day so I take aspirin (nothing else seems to work). Then I often will go into town and buy something nice for me, like maybe some fabric or a pretty dress!
When you did your review months ago, I almost bought a lunette starter kit but chickened out! I’d love to try it.

  6. This is interesting. I’ve never heard of menstrual cups but I would definitely like to give it a try! Definitely more economical than tampons/pads… and better for the environment. It’s crazy to think of how much waste comes from the disposable products! Let’s see… how do I make my “time of the month” nicer? Or more pleasant… ha. There’s nothing very pleasant about it. Sometimes I will light candles and relax with a book and a heating pad across my stomach to ease the cramps… Thanks for the excellent review post and for this giveaway! Kat
