The first week of Liptember is nearly over and I’m proud to say that I managed to not only wear lippy but also photograph myself wearing said lippy each day. So far, so good.
How convenient that the new month began on a Monday! I’m a fanatic for detail and order, so I was chuffed that the first day of September began on a Monday. A perfect way to begin a month of raising money for women’s mental health research.
I started off with a nude lip to kick off the month. This is Avon’s classic lipstick in Frozen Rose, which is a pretty neutral shade with a slight gold shimmer.
On Wednesday I listened to a bit of Strawberry Alarm Clock while I got dressed, which resulted in me reaching for this psychedelic-print dress. Needing something a bit more demure to pair with my winged eyeliner, I chose another Avon classic lipstick in Cosy Mauve.
I was feeling pretty in pink on Thursday with another Avon classic lipstick (again! I have a lot of these lippies because they’re awesome and also I used to work for Avon). This time I picked Instant Mocha, which is a soft pinky shade. I also nearly ran out of time to snap a picture before work, hence this grainy pic.

I knew ahead of time that Friday was going to be a massive day at work so I picked a fierce lip shade to give me strength. After a very long day at work, I felt like I had run a marathon, but at least my lippy was still in place! This is Avon’s Extra Lasting Lipstick in Rich Brown.
And finally Saturday. I wasn’t in the mood for a full face of makeup, but I swiped on a little pink lipstick so as not to fall off the Liptember wagon. This is Rimmel’s Vinyl Jelly lipstick in Be a Star. It’s actually much pinker than it looks in this picture.
One week down, three more to go! Let’s see if I can keep this up for the rest of the month.
Are you itching to do your bit for Liptember? Here are a few ways that you can join the fun:
– Firstly, you can donate to my Liptember page. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and every dollar counts. It doesn’t matter if you donate $1 or $100, I’ll appreciate every single donation.
– You can also purchase your official Liptember lipstick for just $4.99. You can buy your lippy at any Chemist Warehouse store. For the first time, Chemist Warehouse are now offering the Liptember lippies on their online store with international shipping available. How exciting!
– If you’re really keen, you can sign up and start fundraising yourself. It’s super easy to set up your fundraising page and begin raising funds for this awesome cause.
– I’ll be donating 10% of every sale from my etsy store to Liptember. I’ve got all kinds of hand-crafted items and e-books available. I’m also happy to create a custom-made to-order item just for you.
So far this month I’ve only raised $20, which is fine but I’d really like to do better than that. I would truly appreciate it if you could donate a couple of dollars to this awesome cause. Every donation makes a difference!
Oh wow, I love these colors. ♥.♥ I am a h-u-g-e Avon fan! Jen and my MIL were Avon agents and ffff. Avon’s stuff is so amazing. You’re so pretty. ❤ I've missed you! I don't know if you know, but I have a new blog. Sailor July xo! ^_^ Also! What you're doing is really special. ❤
I had no idea that you’ve got a new blog. I’ve been a bit out of the loop lately, what with my new job and a new special person in my life (!). I will definitely have to drop by and check it out.
Thanks so much for your support. I truly appreciate it.
