This Friday’s outfit isn’t as fancy as last weeks. I wore this to go op-shopping with my Mum and then eat New York cheesecake at the newest cafe in town.
I got this gorgeous new shirt from Threadless and I was so excited to wear it for the first time. I decided to dress it up with a slip dress, pearls and sneaker booties.
I am wearing:
– Ghost girl tee shirt from Threadless.
– Red and black slip dress (gift from my friend Sam)
– Black tights from Target
– Black and white sneaker booties from Valley Girl
– Pearl necklace (was my grandmothers)
– Silver ring
– Butterfly ring
– Jade ring
-Ear cuff from Sportsgirl
– Shell earring (found in the park)
I couldn’t resist the print on this tee shirt. The ghost girl is so elegant and so creepy all at once, which is just my style. I’m a bit fan of Threadless too. I have a whole bunch of their shirts and they are excellent quality. They wash and wear really well and the prints don’t fade. Plus they support independent artists, which appeals to me.
Fancy Fridays are a concept dreamed up by Dapper Dolly. The aim is to encourage people to dress up on the final day of the week, by wearing something that’s special to them. It’s a way of breaking out of the “Casual Friday” mindset and dressing up in your own way to celebrate the end of the week. If you’d like to join in, that would be awesome! Just create your own Fancy Friday post and send me a link.
Have an awesome weekend.
New York cheesecake….yummers!!! 🙂 A good cheesecake is one of the absolute best desserts on the planet, if you ask me. I hope that one you had was tops!
This is such a beautiful t-shirt. I love the art deco meets goth meets ethereal quality of that memorable illustration.
Big hugs & joyful Sunday wishes,
♥ Jessica
The cheesecake was sensational. It’s been years since I’ve had a New York baked cheesecake and it was certainly worth the wait.

I used to totally go casual Friday at the clinic with skinny jeans and high-tops but now I spend Friday afternoons at the hospital so have to dress up! 😛
(Okay tbh every day was casual Friday for me last year… this year I’ve gone for more business-wear type outfits to try and subconsciously remind people that I’m not a first year registrar anymore…)
Casual Friday can be fun, particularly if you dress up the rest of the week. But I love any excuse to get dolled up, so I love Fancy Fridays!
Aw I love it, the outfit is very sweet and cute – and that tee is enchanting! I’m a big fan of female art on tops as well so can really appreciate this 🙂 My outfit planned for today is also less dressy than last week but with decorative details, hehe great minds think alike lol 🙂
I haven’t made it to bed yet but when I post later I’ll add your link and photo. I’ve made a button now and an easy ‘grab it’ code here: http://fashionthatpays.wordpress.com/dress-up-fancy-friday/
I’m so glad that you like the tee. I was entranced by the ghost girl the moment I saw her, and when the shirt arrived I was delighted to see that she was even more amazing in person.
