The weather has become sultry and steamy here in Victoria. We’re smack in the middle of a heat wave, and every day seems to get hotter than the last. My favourite way to beat the heat? With a slinky slip, light makeup and beachy hair.
– White satin slip (thrifted from Friperie in Fitzroy)
– Black flatforms from Big W
– Cubic zirconia heart studs (Nana’s)
– Hammered silver bangle (birthday present from my friend Adam)
– “Love” ring (thrifted)
– Rectangle silver ring
-Silver band ring (thrifted)
When the weather warms up, my fine hair has a tendency to get lank and wilted. I’ve started embracing texturizing sprays to give it a bit more pep. I just spray a little onto dry hair, give it a scrunch and then marvel and my soft, hippie-inspired waves. It’s the easiest summer ‘do going round. I also love texturizing sprays for giving my hair a bit more shape when I’m putting it into a bun or a loose braid. It makes the hair go all choppy and chunky, like sexy bed waves. Gorgeous.
I kept my makeup very relaxed, just a bit of tinted moisturizer, lipgloss and bronzer. I’m in love with creme eyeshadows at the moment, and this molten bronze one is perfect for smudging over the lids for a carefree shadow.
In my view, keeping your outfits simple, sexy and unfussy is the best way to deal with super-hot days. What do you think?
Oehhh daring!! Nice!
Thanks so much!
Oo la la! Very sexy yet practical 😉
On hot days I just stick to light/almost sheer (but not quite) cotton blouses and pants and a handheld fan!
