In a few short days Winter will be over for another year. I’m breathing a sigh of relief, because I can’t stand cold weather. I’m excited about the beginning of Spring: the warm sunshine, the blooming flowers and of course, updating my wardrobe! I’ve taken a look through the shop of my newest sponsor Ultimate Outlet and selected a couple of things that I wish would appear in my wardrobe this Spring.
Signature silk cashmere knit: pencil skirt by Spiegel
It is my opinion that a girl can never have too many pencil skirts. They’re flattering, they’re sexy and they’re oh-so-easy to wear. I’d wear this gorgeous purple one with a cute sweater and heels for a vintage look.
Signature silk cashmere knit: long flared skirt by Spiegel
For lazy days at home, I prefer a comfy skirt to trousers. This gorgeous teal skirt would look fantastic paired with loafers and a soft jumper, or dressed up with a camisole and boots for a boho daytime look.
Lace in Love knit tee by Newport News
There’s something so romantic about the warm days of Spring, and nothing says romance quite like lace. I adore the vibrant shade of this crimson shirt, and I’d wear it with a fitted pair of jeans or a pencil skirt and heels.
After the grey days of Winter, there’s nothing like a jolt of colour to put a spring in your step. This vibrant colour block dress would make an ideal addition to my work wardrobe. I’d also love to add a beehive, big earrings and go-go boots to give it a mod flavour.
High-waist wide-leg pants by Spiegel.
I’m obsessed with high-waisted, wide-legged pants. They create such a fun silhouette and I love the movement they give with every step. They can be dressed up or down with ease. For a more formal look, add a pretty blouse, heels and a chain belt. For weekend chic, add a pair of funky boots and tuck a tough tee into the high waistband.
Sequin-embellished cardigan sweater
Spring is the season for cute cardigans and sweaters, but sometimes I worry that all that knitwear looks a little bit nana-ish. What better way to combat the wardrobe doldrums with a sequinned cardigan? This sparkling cardi is ideal for updating your wardrobe. I’d wear it buttoned-up and tucked into a pencil skirt for a sexy bombshell look. I could also wear it open over a slogan tee and ripped jeans to add a splash of glamour to a casual rock-and roll look.
Although I’m trying to pinch my pennies at the moment, I could easily afford to splash out on a couple of my dream items from Ultimate Outlet. Every single item I’ve chosen costs less than $25, and I could get my entire wishlist for under $100! The value prices certainly appeal to the frugal fashionista in me.
What’s on your wardrobe wishlist this Spring? Do you have a favourite item from Ultimate Outlet?
I love those highwaisted pants!
Me too. I’m building up quite a collection of them. I wear them on days when I want to channel Katharine Hepburn.
I’ve been looking for a pair of pants just like that!
They’re gorgeous, aren’t they? I just love the movement you get with high-waisted pants.
I have to confess I haven’t got my head around a seasonal wardrobe – apart from obviously summer or winter pieces I have stuff that I make work for all 4 seasons by adding/subtracting layers and cardigans… Love the colour of that teal skirt!!!
I don’t really have a seasonal wardrobe, I like to wear most things year-round. But I do like to buy a couple of new pieces each season, just to keep things fresh and interesting.
