Daily outfit 24/6/2013

I’m having a bit of a 90’s revival at the moment.  When it’s cold, I want to wrap up in loads of flowing layers and just laze about this house.  This outfit made me feel a tiny bit like Alanis Morissette.

DSCF8330Fun fact: Did you know that Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill was the first C.D I ever bought.  Seriously.  I loved her.  Still do!

DSCF8331I am wearing:

– Black bodysuit from Supre

– Black velvet skirt (thrifted)

– Black Dr Martens boots

– Grey wool hoodie (gift from my parents)

– Starry night pendant (thrifted)

-Assorted rings

DSCF8337This outfit was worn to do some blogging, finish the ironing and laze about on the couch with a book.  It was a great afternoon.

DSCF8333I was also having a very good hair day when I wore this outfit.  Normally in the winter my hair frizzes uncontrollably.  On this day, I got a little frizz, but I could pass it off as crazy-wild-thing hair rather than finger-in-a-socket hair.  I think so anyway.

  1. Definitely a 90s feel! I can’t help but love the velvet. 😀 I thrifted a velvet skirt as well but my boyfriend sort of makes me put it back everytime I grab for it with his stare lol!

  2. Wow, that outfit brings back memories! I had 2 velvet skirts, a black one and a purple one that I sewed myself. Loved my Docs as well. Those were the days…..
    xx Katie.

  3. The perpetual nostalgist in me adores the nineties vibe this lovely, cozy ensemble channels. I’ve been in a bit of a 90s kick lately myself actually, having recently read two (hot off the presses) books that celebrate some of the pop culture highlights of the era in which I came of age.

Wishing you a beautiful Monday & week ahead, dear gal,
    ♥ Jessica
