I was thinking this morning about how I rarely wear jeans anymore. I suppose that ‘rarely’ is a bit of a stretch, but compared to seven years ago when I wore jeans practically every day it’s an apt description. I doubt I pull out my jeans once a week anymore, and I sometimes go months without wearing them at all.
I am wearing:
– Blue circle printed shirt (thrifted)
– Light wash denim jeans from Garfunkle
– Burgundy Scooter platform shoes (thrifted)
– Snake ring from Diva
– Amethyst ring
– Signet ring from my parents.
Both my shirt and my shoes are thrifted, so I’m not entirely sure of their origins. The shoes are by Scooter, which is a brand I recognise from my early teen years. They seem to be from the 1990’s-does-70’s era. The shirt might be from the 70’s or it might also be from this retro-throwback-90’s trend. I’m really not sure. Either way, this is one of my favourite shirts. It’s comfy, it’s a great colour and I was wearing it the night I met Ross (so I’m convinced that it’s lucky)
I’ve also got a new lipstick. This is one of the Rimmel Vinyl Jelly lip liners in Choccie. I bought four of these last week when I found them in my local Reject Shop at 2 for $3. I find that they perform more like a lipstick than a lip liner. They’re quite glossy, but they last a long while and give great definition to the lips. I haven’t tried them with a lipstick over the top because I think they’re pigmented enough to be worn on their own. I also worry that the glossy finish would interfere with the lipstick. I’m planning to use this one in a tutorial later in the week, so stay tuned!
Even though I used to wear jeans all the time, I don’t feel as comfortable in them as I once did. I’ve branched out a lot with the styles I’m willing to try and jeans no longer feel like my go-to outfit. But I still love their classic appeal and the ease with which you can build an outfit around them.
That top reminds me of the seaaa! I love your shoes. Even though the jeans maybe aren’t your go-to anymore you look lovelt in them. Absolutely adore bleached jeans. ^_^
Thanks! Even thought I don’t wear jeans as often as I used to, I still love the way I look in them. There’s nothing that will boost your confidence quite like a great pair of jeans.
