Today I had a lot of fun playing around with textures and prints. It’s gotten too chilly to wear this vintage halter dress without tights underneath, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to wear some of the textured tights I bought after Easter. These ones were $3 from Big W, and I’m really very fond of them.
I am wearing:
-Black beret from Target
– Black bodysuit from Remember Me
– Blue and white checked halter dress (vintage 1970’s) from The Dookie Emporium
– Fishnet tights from Big W
– Dr Martens boots
– Resin ring from Violet Town op shop
– Silver ring
– Gold tone ring
– Amethyst ring
– Butterbeer cork necklace from Etsy
– Assorted bangles (mostly thrifted, some pilfered from my aunt’s gigantic jewellery collection).
This butterbeer cork necklace is part of my Luna Lovegood costume. I was so excited after Supanova that I decided to take the necklace for another spin. It’s such a fun accessory, and the light blue beads go so well with many of my clothes.
I kept my makeup pretty natural and simple. I got a new blush from Bourjois and I’m head over heels for it. It’s the prettiest pink shade and it blends beautifully. It’s also delicately scented, but I can’t quite put my finger on what the scent is. Something pretty and floral in any case.
I was pretty pleased with this outfit. I think that mixing the sundress with tights, Doc Martens and a beret gave it a slightly 90’s feel. I’m having a bit of a love affair with the 90’s look at the moment, and I’m always happy when I can find a more modern way to wear some of those trends.
This look is adorable!!
Awww, thank you!
