Things I Love Thursday 24/1/2013

I have a massive list of things I love this week.  But before I start on that, I thought that I’d sneak a daily outfit into this post too.  So many of you have told me how much you enjoy seeing my outfits, so I’m trying to work more of them into my posting schedule.  Here’s my outfit for today:

DSCF7473I am wearing:

– Afternoon Delight tee shirt from Threadless

– Pink pencil skirt from Supre

– Green loafers from Rubi

– Silver anklet

– Clog necklace

– Amethyst ring

– Silver ring

– Signet ring.

I’m in flats today because I hurt my ankle while I was running earlier in the week.  My ankle’s O.K, but heels are going to be out of the question for the next week or so.

DSCF7475Today I also used my new handbag.  This gorgeous bag was a gift from Ross’s sister Katherine.  I wanted to wear it on a day when I was also wearing this tee-shirt, because I know she loves it so.

DSCF7478I absolutely love the colours of this bag.  It’s right up my alley.

DSCF7481My shoes were another Boxing Day purchase.  $5!  And they’re so comfy!

Now that we’ve seen what I’m wearing, it’s time to jump into Things I Love Thursday.

This week, I love:

– The expression on Mel Gibson’s face during Jodi Foster’s Golden Globes speech.

– Radagast the Brown.  Ross and I saw The Hobbit on the weekend and Radagast was by far my favourite character.  I loved the way that he’s all “I will save ALL THE ANIMALS!”.  I can totally relate.

DSCF7449-Shopping sprees at Kit Cosmetics.  I bought Smashbox’s finishing powder, the Invisible Lip Liner from Lipstick Queen and Medieval lipstick from Lipstick Queen.

DSCF7450The Medieval is by far my favourite purchase.  It’s a really sheer lip stain.  Gorgeous.

– Unexpectedly seeing Aiden Turner in The Hobbit.  I loved him in Being Human, so it was very pleasant to have a little eye candy to entertain me during that three-hour epic.  Swoon!  His dark hair, his broody eyes, his stubble, the gravelly voice.  Hmmm, that all sounds kinda familiar…

I wonder, do I have a type?

DSCF7467– Icy blue manicures.

DSCF7447– My new floral sandals.

– Ross impersonating a Looney Tunes character to cheer me up.  Which one?  This one…

– Ace Ventura

– Kitty hugs.

– Pedicures

– Games night with my brother.

What do you love this Thursday?  Funny hats?  Strawberry ice-cream?  Afternoon naps?  Tell me all about it in the comments!

  1. Yay! That bag suits you so well.

I’m glad you enjoyed the Hobbit. I’ve head so many people say they were disappointed with it, but I LOVED it. Radagast was adorable.

Today I love Psychoville. I had forgotten how great this show was until I rewatched the first couple of episodes.

    • Thanks so much for the bag! I really do love it. I wouldn’t say that I was disappointed with The Hobbit, but I also wouldn’t say that I loved it. I just thought that it dragged out towards the end. I don’t think I’m going to be able to sit through another two movies of that length.

    • Thanks so much. When I unwrapped this bag on Christmas morning, I squealed with delight at the colours. I love pink and blue together, it’s just such a punchy combination.

  2. I am still so in love with that top, and that bag is PERFECT!
Yay for finally seeing The Hobbit! I loved Fili & Kili, I loved Aiden in Being Human as well, but I think I kind of have a thing for Dean O’Gorman, those are two dwarves I wouldn’t say no to 😛 Oh and of course Thorin, cause I’ve been crushing on Mr Armitage for a few years now!

  3. Ooooooh the new bag and t-shirt are glorious and look at that spanking packaging from Medieval!! Mmmmmmm … today I love mangoes and lots of lovely rain – finally! xo
