I’m having a lot of fun with my summer wardrobe. All through winter, I looked forward to being able to plan an outfit that didn’t consist of a million layers and thermal underwear. I’ve been enjoying short sleeves, wispy fabrics and a distinct lack of unsexy undies.
I am wearing:
– Purple pucci print pleated top (gift from my aunt)
– Pinstripe pants (thrifted)
– Platform shoes from Zu
– Amber earrings from my Nana
– Gold bracelet from my parents
– Gold heart ring from my parents.
– Wizard of Oz watch from Ross’s mum and dad.
I never realised until I typed my outfit description, but all of my jewellery in this post was gifted. I also realised that I never buy gold jewellery. It’s not that I don’t like gold, but I think that silver suits me better, so that’s what I choose for myself. It is nice to wear gold for a change though.
I liked the way that the pleats on my top mirror the stripes on my pants. I think that kind of helps to tie the look together, and make the two clashing prints work together better.
I adore the cutout detail of these platforms. It’s so unique and fun.
I kept my makeup fairly neutral, sticking to browns and coral lipstick.
Up-dos are a must for hot weather. And it has been bloody scorching here! It’s gotten up to 45 degrees on some days. Thank God I have aircon.
Is there something that you don’t really buy for yourself, but which people tend to always choose as gifts for you? I mentioned my gold jewellery, but I also have a massive collection of handbags, of which I only purchased two myself. Do you have anything like that?
I lovvvve this outfit. THOSE HEELS!!! Ahhhh!
Thanks! I really love the cut-out detail on them.
Love those wedges! I miss summer…
Thankyou! They happen to be one of my favourite pairs. I’m trying to make the most of the hot weather, by wearing all my strappy shoes and floaty tops while I can.
