I have been flirting with purple a lot lately.  For some reason, shades of indigo, violet, lilac and lavender have just been calling to me.  Today’s outfit was an attempt to show off the Sportsgirl tights I bought a while back.

 

 

I am wearing:

– Purple printed silk scarf from Siricco

– Royal purple velvet jacket from Fripperie

-Navy blue pencil skirt from Country Road

– Amethyst ring (belonged to my grandmother)

– Purple ‘Burlesque’ tights from Sportsgirl

– Black and white comic book heels from Betts.

– Black beaded earrings (handmade by my aunt)

 

 

This jacket is so lovely to wear.  It’s perfect in autumn, because it’s heavy enough to wear as a blouse with a skirt or pants, or I can comfortably wear it open over a tee shirt.  The colour is divine too.  Best of all, I only paid five dollars for it. 

 

 

 

 

These tights are one of my new favorite things.  They are quite sheer, and the soft purple shade is gorgeous for pairing with black, navy or green.  The design on them is a bit strange.  They have a jacquard-like design on the front of the foot and around the thigh (you can see a bit of it peeking out from under my skirt) but the rest of the tights have tiny textured polka-dots.  I really like them though.  I’ve found a lot of fun legwear over the past few months, which is great because it means I can get a bit more wear out of my skirts and dresses in the colder months.
