The Winter wind and chills, combined with overzealous heating, can leave your hands dry and chapped in no time. Your paws are even more likely to dry out if you are handling paper all the time, dealing with harsh chemicals or washing your hands all the time. When it comes to saving your frostbitten mittens, there’s one hand lotion that has me totally smitten.
I’m obsessed with Avon’s Silicone Glove hand cream. I’ve tried a lot of hand creams and in my opinion, this is the best one going round. The formula is lightweight and non-greasy. You only need a small amount to deliver a massive dose of hydration to dry hands. The cream sinks in very quickly and doesn’t leave any slimy residue on your mitts. Best of all, the Silicone Glove hand cream leaves a protective coating on your hands, to protect them from further damage and lock in moisture. After one application, my hands feel soothed and smooth. After regular applications, my paws are softer than a baby’s derriere. It works brilliantly.
The cream is packaged in a handy tube, with minimal printing. The tube is a soft plastic, which makes it really easy to control how much product you use. You don’t have to squeeze too hard to get the cream out, even when there’s not much left in the tube. That means there are no disastrous accidents when you apply too much force and wind up with enough lotion to moisturize a football team.
The lotion has a very soft scent, which is very feminine. The scent isn’t overpowering and doesn’t linger after you’ve applied. My mother and grandmother both swear by this cream because they are very sensitive to perfume, and this is one of the few lotions that they can use without copping a whopping migraine.
One of the most tempting features of the Silicone Glove hand cream is the price. It’s very cheap (although I don’t remember exactly how much I paid for my tube, and the Avon website doesn’t list prices). You don’t need to use much at a time, so this a tube lasts you for a very long time. Avon often has the Silicone Glove cream on sale, where you can buy multiple tubes for a great price.
Of all the hand creams I’ve used, this is the one that I’d recommend most highly. It’s cost effective, and works a treat. I love it.
