Daily outfit 10/1/2011

Good day this lovely Monday!  I hope that your weekend was lovely.  I had a very nice time hanging out with Ross.  On Saturday we drove into the city and had a good look at all the shops.  It was stifling in the city so we ate ice cream for lunch at this little ice-creamery called Passion Flower in Bourke street.  The cafe was perfectly air-conditioned and their menu was enourmous.  I had green tea ice cream and vanilla ice cream with red beans.  It was so refreshing and delicious.  It was the perfect lunch on a hot day (although admittedly, not very healthy).

By Saturday night it had cooled down a lot.  There was an awful lot of heavy rain falling, and so we decided to take advantage of the dreary weather by curling up on the couch with a movie.  We watched Beauty and the Beast, which I hadn’t seen since I was about 6.  I have to say that Disney do a brilliant job of making films that are enjoyable to adults and children alike.  I enjoyed Beauty and the Beast even better as an adult than I did as a kid.

On Sunday Ross and I went out to brunch and then made a stop at the fruit and vegetable market.  I got a food processor for Christmas, and we gave it a workout yesterday.  We made banana-berry smoothies for lunch and then pumpkin soup for dinner and it was all just delicious.

Today, the weather is still slightly cool.  I had a lot of paperwork and writing to do, so I decided that a simple, businesslike outfit was best.

I am wearing:

– Black cotton blouse from Target

– Brown culottes (thrifted)

– Black heels from Diana Ferrari

– Gold bracelet

– Amber earrings.

I took some really cute photos of Jellylorum on the weekend that I thought you guys might like to see:

This one was taken on Friday evening.  Poor Jellylorum was so hot and bothered, and I came into the lounge room to find her sprawled on the couch like this.

On Saturday morning, she was curled up on the couch, hugging her favorite mouse while she slept.  It was seriously cute.
