I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. I’m back in Melbourne now after an extended stay with my parents. It’s so nice to be back in the city. I have been spending quite a bit of time getting my new housemate settled in. She moved in while I was away, and we’ve been having such fun together. I’m planning on having loads of tea parties while she and I are sharing a house.
Today I had intended to get loads of jobs done, but I forgot that it’s a public holiday. Therefore, very few stores are open, the post office is closed, and so are most offices. My productive day went gurgling down the toilet after I realised this.
– Purple pucci print top
– Black shorts from Valley Girl
– Berry tights from Cotton On
– Black Dr Martens boots
– Silver disc necklace.
– Silver fleur du lis ring.
I also wanted to show you all some of my favorite presents that I got for Christmas. I did extremely well this year, and I have piles of loot to play with. These are just a few of my favorite items.
Ross bought me this fantastic Beatles Box set. I am a huge Beatles fan, and I have been wanting this for ages. This box set has all of the Beatles albums, and a bunch of documentaries to boot. I’ve been listening to the Beatles non-stop since Christmas, and my Ipod is now more than half-filled with Beatles. I honestly do have the best boyfriend in the world!
My gorgeous friend Kath bought me this sweet babushka teapot.
The top unstacks to reveal two teacups.
It will be perfect for tea parties!
For years I’ve wanted a set of champagne glasses just like these, and my mum managed to track down a vintage set:
The stem is hollow, and it allows the bubbles to rise slowly in the glass, so that the champagne stays bubbly for longer. I’m not exactly sure what these glasses are called, but I’ve heard them called Bollinger glasses and champagne dishes. Apparently, the shape of the glass is modelled after Marie Antionette’s breast, but I’m not sure exactly how true that is.
I also got some lovely jewellery:
This flower ring was from my parents.
My mum’s best friend bought me this hair ornament. I can’t wait to wear this!
Ross’s parents bought me this Wizard of Oz watch. It has two little ruby slippers dangling from the face. Adorable!
I was so pleased with all the lovely gifts that I recieved. The best part about Christmas was being able to spend time with all the people I love best in the world. Everyone was very merry and the day was brilliant from beginning to end. I hope that everyone else was blessed with a Christmas as wonderful as mine was.
