Daily outfit 19/11/2010

I had my final law exam yesterday.  It went pretty well, I think.  I felt pretty good about all the answers I wrote down, and I managed to finish the exam just in the nick of time.  Most of our law exams are three and a half hours long, which is epic.  The one that I sat yesterday only went for two hours, and I was a little paranoid that I wouldn’t have enough time to finish the whole thing.  Luckily, just as I finished the last question, the examiner said “Stop writing”.  Phew.  Just one more exam to go until I’ve completely finished my degree.  That’s terrifying.

Also, someone in my class came dressed as Santa Clause to the exam yesterday.  I can’t even describe how awesome that is.

Today I did plenty of study for my final psychology exam.  I have also been having a bit of a spring cleaning frenzy, which is great.  I’m a reasonably clean and tidy person most of the time, but every couple of months I just get the urge to clean compulsively.  My house is cleaner than it has ever been, and I am very happy with the results.  I haven’t done the laundry yet, which is a bummer because it’s always one of the biggest jobs.  Oh well.  I’ll get to it in a bit.

This is what I wore today:

I am wearing:

-Red, white and blue headscarf (thrifted)

– Red collared shirt from Temt

– Dark wash blue jeans from Levi

– Tan clog sandals from Rubi

– Mona Lisa necklace

– Red Babushka earrings

– Amethyst ring.

Here is a close-up of my necklace:

I bought this about ten years ago at a market in Yarrawonga.  I think it cost about $8.  I don’t wear it as often as I should.  When I was about seven years old, I had a slight obsession with Leonardo Da Vinci, and would look up pictures of his paintings in my Dad’s old art books.  Once, I did a school project on Da Vinci, and made a tiny model of the Louvre in a shoebox.  The night before I had to take it to school, I had to cover it with my jumper, because I was terrified that the Mona Lisa was watching me.  A few years ago my Mum bought me a Da Vinci Code poster to hang in my room at college.  I never put it on the wall, because years later, I am still creeped out by the Mona Lisa.  I never confessed to my mother why I never hung the poster though.

I hope you’ve all had a sweet Friday, and have plenty of awesome plans for the weekend.  Peace Out!
