Daily outfit 17/11/2010

I wore a pretty sweet outfit today.  I tried out a skirt that I haven’t worn in over a year to decide if I really wanted to keep it.  The verdict was: yes, I will keep this skirt.  Sadly, I didn’t take an outfit photo today.

However, I did manage to get a photo of yesterday’s outfit, which was one of my favorite outfits in a long time.  I put it on expecting it to inject a little colour and fun into my day of study.  Instead, my day exploded into a mess of stress, featuring a power outage, a sick cat, an impromptu 5 km walk to Centrelink and a heart-attack about my plans for next year.

This is what I wore on the most stressful day I have had in quite a while:

I am wearing:

– Rainbow silk scarf

– Rainbow kaftan from Target

– Black Hound Dog mini skirt

– Black bodysuit from Supre

– Berry tights from Cotton On

– Jolly Roger ballet flats from Shoe Bizarre

– Heavy gold snake chain necklace

– Gold bangle bracelet

– Jade bracelet.

I also had some kick-ass peacock-style eyeshadow, which was ruined when I burst into tears on the way home from Centrelink:

Luckily, I have sorted everything out now and things are back to normal.  I have my last law exam tomorrow, which I am a bit nervous about.  I did a practice exam today, and I am very pleased with how it went, so hopefully that bodes well for tomorrow.  After that I have only one more exam and then I’m all done.

Also, I got a movie ticket in the mail from my grandmother, so that I can go and see Harry Potter for free.  How considerate is that?  I was really touched.  I can’t wait for the first installment of the Deathly Hallows.  A few weeks ago I actually considered buying tickets to the midnight screening at IMAX in the city.  Even though I knew that I had an exam at 9am the next morning, I kept trying to reason withy myself that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and that I would have plenty of time to get home and sleep before my exam.  I decided against it, and I think it was a wise choice.
