I am feeling so relieved this evening, because the sky over Melbourne has looked dreadfully stormy all day, and we are finally getting a couple of little raindrops falling. I am hoping for a big storm. I’ve done all my work for today, and I plan on settling in with a copy of Wyrd Sisters on DVD and doing a little yoga. I also want to do a little bit of pampering, because I’m due for a manicure and a pedicure, and a facial wouldn’t go astray either.
It was humid in the city today, and the hottest day we’ve had all year. While I love the heat, it has actually knocked me around a bit today. I’ve got a bit of a headache, which I’m hoping will bugger off before it’s time for bed.
I am wearing:
– Silver butterfly earrings
– Pink and white polka dot dress from Target
– Blue capelet (thrifted)
– Blue Diana Ferarri wedge sandals
– Signet ring
– Amethyst ring.
I bought this capelet ages ago, and I’ve been a bit unsure what to wear it with. It’s really cool and comfortable, and it stopped my shoulders from getting sunburned when I went out for a walk this afternoon. I really like the way it looks. I want to try dressing it down with jeans, and also creating some super 70’s outfits to wear it with.
Last night, I tried on my entire costume for my end-of-exams party. I did a trial run of my makeup and I was very pleased with the end result. I took loads of pictures, but I don’t want to post them just yet, because I don’t want to ruin the surprise for my party. My makeup took over an hour to do, but I was so pleased with it. After the photos are up, I might do a tutorial for you guys on how to do some special FX makeup, if you are interested. It’s super fun.
