Daily outfit 8/11/2010

This morning I woke up super early so that I could say goodbye to Ross when he left for work.   As I was up at such an early hour, I decided to throw myself into work immediately.  I went grocery shopping and then did several hours of hard-core study .  I plan to spend the rest of the afternoon writing, mowing the lawn and doing some planning for the end of exams shindig that I am going to throw. I am very excited about it.

This is what I wore to head up to the shops to get groceries.

I am wearing:

– red, white and blue cassette bandana from Canteen

– Priscilla Queen of the Desert tank top

– red and black striped tee shirt from Cotton On

– Red tartan skirt from Target

– assorted button badges

– black and white striped socks

– Tattoo stockings from Pulp Kitchen

– Amethyst ring

– Star earrings from Duchess

– ZAP necklace from Diva

I’m not entirely sure whether this outfit works.  I am perfectly happy with everything above the waist.  However, I think that my stripey socks clash a bit with my striped shirt.  I don’t really mind though, I think that I look like a punk-rock ragdoll.  Since this photo was taken, I have rolled my socks down a bit, and I think that seeing my tattoo stockings breaks the outfit up a bit.

I have been doing loads of cooking lately.  There was a period a few weeks ago where I was just eating junk food all the time, and I felt like crap. I had very little energy, I was cranky and bloated and my skin was freaking out.  I have made a pact with myself to eat a bit better while I’m preparing for exams.  I have been going out of my way to cook plenty of vegetable-laden dishes.  I made curry the other night, ratatouille on Friday and tonight I am making a delicious vegetable pasta sauce.  I am also planning on baking a batch of zucchini muffins for study-break snacking.  Yum.
