Daily outfit 22/8/2010

You might have noticed that I have been absent from the blogosphere for a few days now.  I’ve been away for a couple of days, but I have managed to snap a few outfit shots for you:

I am wearing:

– Grey cable knit sweater from Supre

– Grey cotton ribbed socks from Sportsgirl

– Black and white polka dot skirt from Target

– Red Mary Janes from I love Billy

– Ace of spades necklace from Equip

This was my work outfit for Wednesday.  I have been doing a clinical placement at a community legal centre one day a week and it is going really well.  I have my own clients and I have just started conducting interviews on my own.  It’s scary, but I am slowly improving.

I am wearing:

– Swan Song fascinator from Dangerfield

– Black bodysuit from Remember Me

– Red pencil skirt from Christopher Ari

– Purple and black 1/2 and 1/2 tights from Ambra

– Black patent leather Nine West heels.

– Red leopard print ring from Equip.

I wore this outfit to travel home for a very special occasion.  I wanted soemthing that would be comfy, and this skirt was jsut the ticket.  It looks sophisticated, and it is quite stretchy and moves easily with your body.  I also wanted an excuse to wear my new fascinator.  I love the netting on this one.  It makes it a little tricky to see, but you do get used to it after a while.

Why was I away for so long?  Here’s your answer:

My cousin came to visit from Perth, and she bought her new baby son.  He is seriously adorable.  I’m not the sort of person who normally goes all gooey over babies.  Most of the time they look like monkeys, and tend to be noisy and red-faced.  This little guy has got me totally smitten though.  He is so quiet and barely cries at all.  Plus, he has the most gorgeous smile and is willing to crack a grin for anybody.  He has been a breath of fresh air for my family, and I am so sad to see him head back home (although he’ll be back again soon).

I bought a few presents for the baby, and amoung them were some books.  When my cousin unwrapped them, she held up a book of Nursery Rhymes and said “You’ve saved my life!  I always want to recite a nursery rhyme before bed, but I can never remember the words, so I have to Google them!”  Bless her.

I hope you  have all had a wonderful weekend.
