These bright colours made me so happy today!  I had at least four people come up to me at uni and tell me how much they liked my hat, which was sweet.  I also had one woman walk up to me while I was eating lunch and tell me that she liked the colour of my tights, and then said “Good on you!” and walked away.  I’m not entirely sure why she was applauding my choice of legwear.  Did she consider it brave to wear such a bright colour?  Did she like the way I had worn something that had a little personality?  Who knows?  All I know is that it was a compliment that put a smile on my face.  I always say that you should dress in a way that makes you happy, not as a way of impressing other people, but a little bit of external validation never hurt anyone.
