Morticia Addams makeup tutorial

If I were to choose my all-time favourite female character, I think I would pick Morticia Addams.  I’ve been obsessed with her since I was ten years old, and I watched The Addams Family for the very first time.  She was so beautiful, so mysterious, and oh so witty.  She has a kind of smouldering sultriness with a dash of cheekiness that I adore.  I’ve dressed as Morticia several times, and I’ve decided to share my tutorial for her makeup look in case you were planning on dressing up as this minxy witch for Halloween.

I’ve based this look on the makeup worn by Anjelica Huston in the Addams Family movies.  It’s a lot easier to get a sense of colours and detail in the films than the black and white television show.

For this look, you will need:

- A light-coloured foundation (the lightest you can find)

- Smoky grey eyeshadow

- Light facial powder

- Charcoal grey eyeshadow

- Shimmery white eyeshadow

- Black liquid or gel eye liner

- Black khol pencil

- Dark eyebrow pencil (if you have fair brows)

- Red lip liner pencil

-Matte red lipstick

- Black mascara
